What are the minimum system requirements for my computer to run your Software (Game)?

Minimum system requirements:

Windows 2000/XP/Vista
Pentium II with 450 MHz (or compatible CPUs)
256 MB RAM
16MB video card with screen resolution of at least 800x600 with 16-bit colors
Sound card - if you want to hear our sounds
56 K Modem

Recommended system requirements:

Windows XP/Vista
Pentium III with 1 GHz (or compatible CPUs)
256 RAM
32MB video card with screen resolution of 1024x768 with 32-bit colors
Sound card
Broadband Internet

I lost my connection!

There may be several reasons for this; for example, a problem with your computer’s settings, a technical problem with your Internet service, or even a problem with our servers. Normally your software should automatically re-connect. If this does not work, try restarting the program - under most circumstances, you will be immediately reseated back to your table. Sometimes other software running on your computer may be preventing the AnoPoker software from accessing the internet – try to avoid downloading files and using file-sharing software while playing at AnoPoker.

Sometimes connection seems to get interrupted or the game is really slow. Why is this so?

The communication speed between your computer and our servers is optimized so if the game is going slow, the two most likely reasons are:

The players on the table are taking a long time to make their moves (perhaps they have a bad connection)
Your internet connection may be slow.

If you have connection problems, please contact your Internet Provider and/or our Support Team´.

Do you offer all-in (disconnect) protection for live and tournament play?

Disconnect Protections are only available for fixed-limit cash-game play and are not available for tournament play or no-limit/pot-limit tables. Each player has one (1) Disconnect Protection available per day with an additional Disconnect Protection available upon request. If you get disconnected during a cash-game, miss your turn, and you have a disconnect protection remaining, you will automatically be set as “Technically All-In” and your hand will proceed to the showdown. If you don’t have any Disconnect Protections available, your hand will be folded.

I have a Macintosh. Can I use it to play at AnoPoker?

Our software is currently only compatible with Windows-based operating systems and cannot be run on other operating systems. On some new Macintosh machines, it is possible to install and run Microsoft Windows, and this can be used to run the AnoPoker software.

Which screen setting do you recommend?

We recommend using a screen resolution of 1600x1200. With this setting, it is possible to fully display 4 tables at the same time. However, the software will play at screen resolutions as low as 800x600.

Which browser should I use?

Most common internet browsers should be compatible with AnoPoker. We would, however, recommend Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

I can't connect to the AnoPoker software! It keeps telling me that I have no connection. Any ideas?

It is possible that your internet connection or our servers had problems when you were trying to connect. Please try again in a few minutes. If this does not work, please ensure that your firewall is not blocking the AnoPoker software. The software requires ports 1111-1120 and ports 11000-14000 to be opened for TCP/IP traffic. Some anti-virus software also includes port-blocking software and you should check the settings if you have any anti-virus software installed. It is also possible that your Internet service provider has blocked these ports, for which we would ask you to check directly with your ISP.

I was trying to log on to AnoPoker, but I got a message saying that the software was being updated. It seems to be stuck, because I've tried it several times. What should I do now?

In most cases, this is caused by an error due to an interrupted install/update or by a user altering the files in the AnoPoker directory. To solve this, uninstall the current AnoPoker software, then download and install the latest software from Cardroom Download. This should resolve the issue.

I cannot open the AnoPoker Software. What do I do?

This can happen for the following reasons:

The software has not been installed correctly or the download has not been successfully completed. To solve this, uninstall the current AnoPoker software, then download and install the latest software from here.
You are trying to run the AnoPoker software without administrator rights: Log in as an administrator and try again.

I downloaded your software and I can see the icon on my desktop, but when I click on it nothing happens.
