What do I have to do to start playing?
If you have downloaded and started our software, you now have to register at AnoPoker. Fill in the requested fields and validate your email address. After done this choose your game in the lobby, select a table and take a seat.
How do I select the game I want to play?
In the Lobby all offered games are listed on the left side. Select a game and all available tables will appear on the right side. Double-click on a table, take a seat and you are ready to play. You can also click on the button “Go To Table”.
What can I do if the table I want to play on is full?
In this case, click on the table and choose “Join Waiting List”. As soon as a seat is available, it will be announced to you.
Can both my wife and I play on your site simultaneously?
Yes! You can even play on the same Play Money table together, but if you are playing Real Money games, you are not allowed to sit at the same table. You can, however, play the same tournament, but you will be seated at different tables.
Can I hide full tables from search?
Yes, just click on “Hide full tables” above the table list.
Can I search for other players?
Yes, go to "My account" from the main lobby, choose "Buddy List" and enter the player's Nickname. You will see which at which table or in what tournament they are playing.
Can I create private tables and play with my friends?
No. You are only allowed to play on the tables provided by AnoPoker.
Where can I learn about the different types of poker games and hand rankings?
AnoPoker offers Texas Hold`em, Omaha Hi/Lo, Omaha Hi and 7 Card Stud. To learn more about these types of poker games, please, see"Game Rules" and "House Rules".
Where can I find the hand rankings?

What does Re-Buy and Add-On mean in a tournament game, and how do they work?
We do offer our players Re-Buys and Add-Ons on some of our multi-player tournaments. This means that you will be able to purchase extra chips during a tournament.
A Re-Buy is only available until the first break, or before the first break but only until the number of players still in the tournament has been reduced to the number of paid places PLUS FOUR. For example: If a particular tournament pays out to 50 places and the number of players in the tournament reaches 54 before the first break, then - from that point forward - rebuys are no longer possible.
The first Add-On is available during the first break and will be available to all players, regardless of their chip count.
Tournaments may allow Re-Buys and Add-Ons, or Re-Buys only.
If a tournament allows Re-Buys and/or Add-Ons, this fact will be displayed in
the tournament lobby after the tournament name as well as in the information box for each tournament. These details will be displayed upon selecting the tournament.
Where are all the cash games? My friend told me there is so much going on, but I only see play money tables.
You apparently have the Play Money software from AnoPoker installed on your computer. What you need to do first is to uninstall the .net version to avoid any software conflicts. Then, please, download the current Real Money Software here. The Real Money software supports Real Money as well as Play Money action.
I downloaded your Software but can find only Play Money games. What should I do?
We kindly ask you to first uninstall our Software from your computer. Then, please download the Real Money Software again here. This is to avoid any irregularities when running the program.
Once you have done this, you should be able to see 2 new tabs in the Main Lobby in addition to the Play Money tab. One should read "Fixed Limit," the other "No Limit / Pot Limit." In this Lobby you will now be able to play on our Real Money Software.
Why can't I get back onto the No Limit Hold'em table with just the minimum buy-in? I just won a lot at that table and a pop-up is telling me that I have to sit down with all the money I just won a few minutes ago.
We would like to inform you of the basic rules that apply in such situations at AnoPoker.
- If a player leaves a table (no-limit/pot-limit tables only) with an amount of money ("x") which is LESS than the minimum buy-in, this player may return to the same table with the minimum buy-in designated for that table.
- A player leaves a table (no-limit/pot-limit tables only) with an amount of money (“x”) which is MORE than the minimum buy-in for that table. If the player returns to the same table within 1 hour he may only return with the amount with which he left the table or more, regardless of what the minimum buy-in for that table is.
- Here’s an example: In no-limit and pot-limit games, if a player gets up from a table ($20 minimum buy-in) with $30 and returns within 1 hour, he is obliged to join the table with $30 or more.
This requirement is one of the basic poker rules for NL and PL games, and is intended to provide a fair, competitive playing environment for the players.
My Chat has been blocked. Why?
AnoPoker wants all players to feel at home at the tables. In order to achieve this, we require players to follow house rules regarding communication between players. Chat privileges will be blocked for 24 hours if, for example, you have been communicating using foul language. Offensive Nickname
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable playing environment we must ask all players to follow a uniform code of conduct. Our rules of etiquette can be found on our website. If we feel that your Nickname isn’t acceptable to us, we will ask you to submit 3 new names in order of preference which we will use to give you a new nickname.
When we receive your reply with the chosen names, we will make the changes and send you back a confirmation with your new nickname. If you do not reply we reserve the right to change your Nickname at any time.
REAL MONEY - What rake do you charge for running the games?
A rake is a nominal fee, per qualified pot, for the house. Since this fee is calculated according to the pot, only the winner is responsible for paying it. It is the only fee which online players are required to pay. There are, of course, no tips given in online play.
In general, no Flop means no rake! In 7 Card Stud, there is no rake when the fourth card is not dealt. If you want to know, how the rake is calculated, please, have a look at Rake.
REAL MONEY- Can I leave the table for a while and come back later?
Yes. You only have to select the “Deal me out” option. Please try to come back as quick as possible.
REAL MONEY - How can I review a played hand?
During the hand you'll have the chance to view your graphical hand history, or after finishing the hand you also may request a hand history by email. You can also locate your full hand history which is stored on your own computer by going to Start > My Computer > C: > Program files > The Poker room > Hand history.
REAL MONEY- Do you offer all-in (disconnect) protection for live and tournament play?
You have one (1) Disconnect Protection available per day and another one upon request. If you get disconnected, you will be automatically put “All In” and you are still in the game for the main pot. If you don’t have any more Disconnect Protection available, your hand will be folded. You may use your Disconnect Protection in cash limit games only.
PRACTICE CHIPS - Can I play for free at AnoPoker?
Yes, of course you can! Just download our software, register at AnoPoker and you can start playing at our Practice Chips tables.
PRACTICE CHIPS - What are Practice Chips?
Practice Chips have no cash value. Try out our Practice Chips tables to learn new games or test your strategies without any risk.
PRACTICE CHIPS - How many chips do I get for playing at Practice Chips tables?
You receive 1,000. If you run out of chips simply click on the chips of the bank while in a game and you will receive more chips. The max. amount you can get at one time is 1,000.
PRACTICE CHIPS - How do I use Practice Chips on your site?
AnoPoker provides players with comfortable options to play at our play money tables. When you sign up at AnoPoker, your account is by default a Practice Chips account. Practice Chips tables have been provided for the benefit of learning the game better. It is an experience in itself, a lot of fun and absolutely free of charge. You can get the feel of any game, and you are not required to make any kind of real money deposit.
Getting to play at our play money tables is very simple. Once you have downloaded our free AnoPoker software, join a Practice Chips table and you will be able to receive free Practice Chips at any time.
